BACK IN THE DAY CAMPING

Have you ever been camping?

This was before my sister died when we were a real family of 8; 6 kids under 12. After she died things went south.

Picture this? My mother got everything ready for a 2 day camping trip. 8 sleeping bags, 2 days food, lantern, flashlights, a few sets of clothes for each child, bathing suits and everything else. There were not any electronic devices just good old fun of the outside camping world. The campground sold out most weekends so there were tons of kids to meet and play with.

We had very large tent with 2 rooms circa 1970. One side is for the 4 girls, the boys and parents in the other. The camping was at a place called Three Ponds campground in New Hampshire. 🏕️Swimming was in one of the 3 ponds.🤿

If this sounds happy? It was!! Before Mary died was very different for my mother.She changed but no I am going to live in this memory today? It was a fun and innocent moment childhood before everything changed.
